What is the shelf life of herbs and spices?
While herbs and spices generally don’t spoil, they will lose their potency over time. How the herbs and spices are stored will play a large role in how long they retain their potency. If stored in airtight containers, such as glass jars, and kept in a cool, dark, dry place, whole herbs and spices can last up to 3-4 years and ground herbs and spices can last 1-2 years.
We make every effort to ensure that you receive well-preserved herbs and spices to preserve the freshness, aroma, and potency of our products.
Why does it take so long for an item to come back in stock?
We are committed to bringing you only the best quality botanicals available from our growers. Sources are regularly impacted by unpredictability due to weather, crop success, and even international crises including conflict. When items do arrive at our facility, they are subject to our rigorous quality control process in order to make sure we only provide the best herbal products to our customers.
We recommend signing up for a email notification on the website. We always send out an email notification upon restocking. You can keep track of and manage your notifications by using your online account.
Are all of your products organic?
We strive to offer organic products whenever possible and only our organic products are labeled as such. Even if a product is not organic, it is cultivated without chemicals, or wild harvested. Our lab is constantly testing our ingredients to ensure they meet our strict specifications and are free from adulterants and contamination, including pesticides. You may always request a certificate of analysis, organic certificate, and kosher certificate.
Are your essential oils therapeutic grade? Can they be ingested?
The essential oils we offer are 100% pure essential oils. Our essential oil line is suitable for aromatherapy, cosmetics, and for the production of body care products. Due to regulatory concerns, we are unable to recommend them for internal use. Pure essential oils such as ours are extremely concentrated and many of them are dangerous if ingested.
How are your products packaged?
We pride ourselves on making sure we use green materials to package and pad our boxes to ensure your order arrives safe and sound. Each line of items have packaging specific to the maximum fulfillment of its use. Our tea boxes are made from 100% post-consumer paper. Our plastic bottles and containers are made up of HDPE, LDPE and PETE plastic. None of the packaging or containers we use contains BPA.
Are the pictures exactly what I will receive?
While all photos of dry and wet products were taken in house or at our warehouse, please keep in mind that these are natural products, and characteristics (such as color) will vary from lot to lot. We assure you that only the best quality is offered by Floydell & Co.
::PROCESSING FOR PRE-ORDERS::
Please make sure you check the description of your item for expected shipping date. Many products have to rest, or come to full body before use. We take great pride and have the utmost integrity for what we offer. Therefore under no circumstance will we ship a product before it is ready. The shipping date for all custom orders will be quoted at time of consultation.
How long do processing and shipping take?
Generally packages leave our facility within a couple of days; occasionally we may be a little behind due to a holiday or order rush but we will keep you posted. From start to finish your order is processed, filled, and shipped by human beings! For the highest quality and freshness, all of our products are hand-poured and filled to order, rather than pre-bagged. We pride ourselves on this personal touch to ensure every package is perfect.
Can I add to my order after it’s placed?
Because our payment processing center pre-authorizes your credit card for the total amount of your order, we are unfortunately unable to make changes. Due to ecommerce regulations and for our customers' protection, we are not able to charge more than your original pre-authorization. Adding to or changing the order is not possible without voiding the pre-authorization or canceling and refunding the original order.
My order has not shipped yet, can I cancel it?
Because we process your order as quickly as possible, we can only accept order cancellations by 3 PM Eastern Time the day the order is placed. Requests for order cancellations received after this time will not be accepted.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, Floydell & Co is only processing and shipping orders with billing and final destination shipping addresses located in the United States and Canada. We are not able to bill or ship to any countries outside of these two destinations. If you have specific questions regarding our Canadian processing call us.
